Bachok: Bayi lelaki berusia lapan bulan ditemui mati dalam keadaan menyayat hati termasuk badan dilumur garam dipercayai dibunuh bapa kandung menggunakan objek tumpul dalam kejadian di Kampung Sungai Dua, Bachok, pagi tadi.
Kematian Wan Mohamad Afiq Wan Roslan dipercayai dilakukan bapa mangsa yang mengalami masalah gangguan mental.
Ketua Polis Daerah Bachok, Deputi Superintendan Samsulmuddin Sulaiman berkata, pihaknya mengetahui kejadian selepas sepupu suspek berusia 50-an datang membuat aduan berhubung kematian bayi itu pada jam 11.30 pagi tadi.
Katanya, pengadu memaklumkan suspek menghubunginya supaya melihat keadaan anak tunggalnya dan sebaik tiba di rumah suspek, pengadu mendapati anak suspek sudah meninggal dunia dengan keadaan mencurigakan.
"Selepas mendapat laporan, polis menyerbu rumah suspek yang berkunci dari dalam dan bertindak memecah masuk rumah berkenaan.
"Sebaik berjaya masuk ke dalam rumah, kami menahan seorang lelaki dipercayai suspek dan membawa keluar seorang wanita dipercayai ibu mangsa berusia 32 tahun dalam keadaan trauma dan menangis. Hasil pemeriksaan menemui bungkusan guni berisi bayi itu yang disorokkan di bawah meja di bahagian dapur," katanya ketika ditemui di tempat kejadian, di sini, hari ini.
Samsulmuddin berkata, hasil pemeriksaan ke atas bayi berkenaan, mendapati terdapat beberapa kesan lebam pada seluruh badan termasuk kesan lelasan di leher kiri dan kanan bayi berkenaan.
Katanya, pihaknya belum dapat memastikan sama ada kesan itu kesan cekik atau jerutan dan percaya mangsa meninggal dunia kurang tempoh 24 jam.
"Pemeriksaan awal pihak forensik tidak menemui kesan luka berdarah pada bayi berkenaan dan mendapati badan bayi itu turut dilumuri dengan garam kasar pada seluruh tubuh," katanya.
Beliau berkata, kematian bayi itu dipercayai akibat objek tumpul dan tiada senjata ditemui di lokasi kejadian.
Katanya, daripada siasatan awal yang dijalankan suspek yang bekerja kampung didapati mengalami masalah mental sejak dua minggu kebelakangan ini.
"Hasil pemeriksaan awal juga mendapati terdapat kesan lebam dan calar di kedua-dua belah tangan kanan dan kiri si ibu dan dia dibawa mendapatkan rawatan di Klinik Kesihatan Bachok.
"Mayat bayi berkenaan dibawa ke Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II (HRPZII) Kota Bharu, untuk bedah siasat dan kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 302 Kanun Keseksaan," katanya.
Sementara itu, ahli keluarga pasangan itu, Masitah Mohd Ragimi, 46 berkata, dia terkejut apabila mendapat berita kematian cucu saudaranya yang juga anak tunggal pasangan berkenaan.
Katanya, kali terakhir dia melawat pasangan itu di rumah mereka Rabu lalu kerana melawat suspek yang demam akibat sakit bisul.
"Setahu saya, suspek duduk elok (hidup baik) dengan isteri dan anaknya, kami pun tak pernah dengar mereka ada masalah, mangsa juga anak pertama hasil perkahwinan suspek dengan anak saudara saya," katanya.
